  • The chapters are organized together with the representative Chambers of Electronic Commerce of each country.

The DocuSerie Líderes de la Transformación Digital prepared by the eCommerce Institute reflects the evolution of the digital ecosystem in Latin America. This year, 9 chapters will be launched that will analyze the different markets in the region.

During 2020, electronic commerce in the region has grown exponentially and at an extremely accelerated rate, driven by the conditions of the health emergency caused by COVID-19. It has managed to increase penetration in all markets 5 times faster than expected and has earned a prominent place in the economies of all countries in the region. All the work, the challenges and the strategies behind this growth are embodied in each documentary. To discuss these issues, the eLeaders of each country were selected and interviewed to share the strategies they implemented, the challenges and challenges overcome, how they are measuring customer behavior and what actions they are taking in this context of hyper -digital acceleration.

“ From the eCommerce Institute we believe that it is very important to give visibility to the incredible work that many participants in our ecosystem have done and are doing to facilitate business continuity and economic recovery for entrepreneurs, retailers and brands through digital channels during this historic crisis that caused the COVID19 Pandemic. In this context, and on the occasion of celebrating 15 years of the eCommerce Day Tour, we decided to honor the main actors of this Hyper-acceleration that has reached two or three digits: Companies and Entrepreneurs, who first hand expose the state of the art of e – commerce, digital business performance and success stories that will set the course of the sector from now on ” , he said Marcos Pueyrredon, President of the eCommerce Institute and Global Executive SVP VTEX.

The premiere chapter will be that of Mexico , co-organized locally by the Mexican Association for Online Sales (AMVO) , in which topics that gained greater relevance from the accelerated digital transformation that the pandemic unleashed during the last year are addressed; Such is the case of omnichannel, changing consumer habits, the role of mobile channels, operation and logistics, collaborative models, the role of marketplaces and new business models, among others.
